1. Devil's Party
"For me this song is simple. "We are the people we've been waiting for". If we don't start feeling each other on a human level - there wont be too many of us left to feel anything." - J.D. Fortune

"I wrote this song through the inspiration of AF's bed track. I was in the rock star mansion and it just hit me. The song had to answer the musical question "where are we going?". Sometimes in life the best way to find what you are looking for is to stop looking for it. By this I mean the answers are usually within us and the harder we try to look ahead, the further we get from whats right in front of us." - J.D. Fortune

3. Afterglow:
"I wanted to have a piece of music that included something of a hypnotic middle eastern feel. And I feel we achieved that with some elements of the rhythms, chord changes and slow chanting. I took the piece of music to Desmond Child to develop further and he loved it. Lyrically I was looking for something that deals quite generically with the sense of loss. But not in a depressing sense. It could be about a family member, someone close, Michael, it could be about loss of any kind. I really wanted to convey a recognition of coming to terms with that loss in a positive way and remembering someone with immense affection. Initially the loss makes you sad, but then you feel that glow of warmth and I think this is something everyone can relate to." - Andrew Farriss

4. Hot Girls
"Wow, that song just leaps out of the speakers at you and gets very 'in your face'. I love it!! I also love the way the spoken Japanese language fits over the track. There is also some killer work from Deanna in the backing vocal department, thanks Deanna, you truly are an angel." - Tim Farriss

5. Perfect Strangers:
"The song began as a piece of music I wrote specifically for the show / new record. It travelled with me to LA for the initial songwriting period in May. I hooked up with Tony Bruno and Shelly Pieken at Shelly's house where we developed the lyrics and concept. Which is sex. Then when we were close to recording the track we brought in Lauren from the Matrix to help fine tune the sentiment." - Garry Beers

6. Remember Who's Your Man
"This was written some time ago with Gregg Alexander and Annie Roboff in Miles Copeland's castle. It's a very different song for INXS and is based around some jazzy elements. It slips and slides and fits very well into the sound of the album." - Andrew Farriss

7. Hungry
"This song has been around for a while and we actually performed it live on a number of occasions a few years back. It's kind of hypnotic in a way and reflects a bit on the band's earlier years musically in style. Lyrically it's pretty self-explanatory and is basically about letting go; we don't hold ownership on anyone. I love the breakdown after the second chorus which was something that came about round mixing time. Very Trevor Horn." - Kirk Pengilly

8. Never Let You Go
"I wrote the music bed to 'Never Let You Go' in my studio at home in Australia. Originally the song working title was 'Chucka', named after the first sound I recorded for the song which was a muted staccato rhythm that I played on acoustic guitar. The song was basically intended to be a chilled out groove with a Latin/regee twist. It was a last minute song to be added to Switch through JD's enthusiasm. One night JD and I were hanging out and I played the track to him. He loved it and started singing a melody and throwing some lyrics around... "I'll never let you go". I recorded JD on a Dictaphone right there on the spot. We were laughing at the line "move down south and marry a dancer" as JD wasn't aware that my fiancé Kerry had moved down south to live with me... and that Kerry studied dance all her life! Never Let Her Go." - Jon Farriss

9. Like It or Not
"My good mate Hughie and I wrote this song in May this year and we wanted to create a song that had the energy of some incarnations of drum 'n' bass. I also wanted to combine it with a jazzy style break down with the sax so that maybe if we do the song live, we could develop it into a bit of a jam featuring the musicianship of the band members soloing as well. I think this is the fastest (tempo) song we have ever recorded with the possible exception of our first ever single, ' Simple Simon'. The song lyrically is kind of an all or nothing protest song about the state of the world and that love is the answer to all problems... I'm still a hippy at heart..." - Kirk Pengilly

10. Us
"Great song that we originally played on the TV show Rock Star INXS (in fact it was the first time INXS actually played on the show) as a way of reaching out to the people of New Orleans to show our support and try to bring home some of the love that we have for that truly wonderful city, after the terrible hurricane 'Katrina'. It's amazing to me just how that city was treated and the lack of support from it's own country. Kirk and I where there for the RockStar: INXS auditions in Febuary and we where struck by the musicality and human spirit that seems to ooze from the place. So, that song will allways have a special place in my heart for the people of New Orleans. I love the way it moves you (thanks to, among other things, a killer bass track from Garry) and that it was co- written by Guy Chambers." - Tim Farriss

11. God's Top Ten
"God's Top Ten started as a ballad but I wanted it to have a different kind of beat to it than the usual ballads. Lyrically it's very simple and positive and pays respect to a sensitive family situation. The duet idea was to convey a sense of warmth. A female and male vocal telling a family story - it just fell into place and seemed to work very naturally. It's an emotional song to close to the heart of the album. I was on a plane into LA and was thinking about Michael and I realized what it could be - a positive tribute to a long friendship with a great guy who will always be missed by very many people around the world." - Andrew Farriss
